In a tightly contested game, Hot Shots triumphed over Hot Tamales 3 - 1 at Dakotah (DIC) - Rink 1 on Thursday. Hot Shots chalked up one goal to jump in to the lead in the first period. In the middle period, Hot Shots scored two goals to Hot Tamales's one and kept the lead. Hot Shots's defense shut down Hot Tamales for the rest of the game. With both teams scoreless in the third period, Hot Shots held on to its lead, and was the winner.

Nancy McKinney, Karen Brantley, and Julie Dornbusch each added one goal for Hot Shots. Julie Kohlbeck had two assists. Baird and Primeau each tallied one assist for Hot Shots.

Jody Riegert contributed one goal for Hot Tamales.

Leading the way for Hot Shots, Kris Lindsoe stopped 12 out of 13 shots. Hot Tamales's Kris Duryea had six saves.

Hot Tamales ended the game with a record of 5-4.
