Breakaways Loses In Shutout To Goal Diggers 4-0

Natalie Harris is key with two goals and Goal Diggers puts the squeeze on shooters to shut down the other side

In a shutout game, Goal Diggers was superior against Breakaways 4 - zip at NE Minneapolis on Sunday. Goal Diggers chalked up one goal to jump in to the lead in the first period. Goal Diggers added two straight goals in the second period and held on to its lead. The Goal Diggers defense took over in the final period. In the final period Goal Diggers scored one goal piling on and winning the game.

Goal Diggers's Natalie Harris scored two goals for Goal Diggers. Goal Diggers's Harris Harris got an unassisted power play goal. Adding another score for Goal Diggers, Harris scored another goal in the second period with assists from Jeri Menssen and Brittany St. John. Tracy Johnson and Pam Wilson each tallied one goal for Goal Diggers.

Goal Diggers ended the game with a record of 6 wins and 9 losses. Breakaways finished the game with a record of 7-8.
